Listing Dead Links

This option is supposed to be used to easily find broken links throughout the entirety of your collected documents. Instead of going through your pages one by one to verify the links contained in each of them, this function allows you to discover and list all dead, i. e.broken, links at once. It operates in two different ways:

  1. You can use it to locate missing resources. In this mode, Pie compiles a list of all pages that are referred by other pages, but that do not exist themselves, causing the links of their referers to point to nowhere. Use this mode to generate a list of missing pages that can be manually processed one by one.
  2. You can use it to compile a list of pages that contain broken links. This causes all links of all pages to be examined and checked for missing destinations. Use this mode to determine which page needs the most attendance and maintenance due to its large number of broken links.
